Enterprise Data Solutions
Enterprise Data Solutions leverage data for corporate intelligence and proactive analytics
Today's organizations are increasingly flooded with data from a multitude of disparate sources. Legacy systems, transactional databases, operational data stores, data warehouses, and OLAP cubes each offer siloed views of corporate information. As data volumes and sources multiply, it becomes critical to integrate, standardize, and apply rules in order to avoid being overwhelmed by the data "glut". Amentra's Enterprise Data Solutions (EDS) practice delivers the means for businesses to leverage data in order to make better informed decisions that drive value and organizational efficiency. We bring together specialists in business process and data analysis, system design and integration, and business intelligence to develop solutions that deliver results and provide competitive advantage. Amentra's award-winning mentoring approach ensures that business and IT resources are involved in the process every step of the way in order to maximize return on investment and ensure user-adoption. Our comprehensive data maturity model offers insight into organizational needs and provides a logical roadmap for success.
EDS Methodology
Amentra's EDS methodology is based on Amentra's standard solution delivery model. Each enterprise has unique data needs, resource availability, and organizational goals that cannot be met by a monolithic approach. Amentra utilizes an iterative development methodology that breaks large-scale design and implementation plans into a series of measureable and achievable modules. We offer a technology-agnostic assessment of the design paradigms, development methodologies, data architectures, tools and technologies that best support the current state and future goals of each organization. Overall business goals drive the solution throughout the process, and progress is outlined and continuously measured through the use of our Data Maturity Model and Data Maturity Roadmap to ensure project success on-time and on-budget.
The broad range of technologies, components, and processes that make up EDS projects demand that project teams bring together a wide array of business and technical skill sets. Amentra's EDS practice is comprised of experts from various disciplines such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Security, Service Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Integration, Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Business Analysis and Process Design. Utilizing our unique mentoring model Amentra brings the combined expertise of its EDS team together with business and IT to provide client resources with the necessary skillsets that drive long-term project success. Above all, the Amentra methodology focuses on the importance of delivering meaningful, usable results and enabling our clients to continually increase their operational efficiency through increased data maturity.
Amentra's Data Maturity Model
Amentra's Data Maturity Model provides a standardized method for measuring organizational data development across four key organizational dimensions: People, Process, Technology, and Data. The Data Maturity Model depicts five unique levels achieved during the maturation of data needs and utilization within an organization. An initial maturity assessment provides the organization with an understanding of their standing relative to their peers and competitors, details the challenges they face, and outlines goals that must be set in order to achieve their organizational objectives. Once the current stage of Data Maturity has been defined and appropriate goals have been determined, Amentra works to develop a Data Maturity Roadmap outlining the steps required to reach the target maturity level. Continuous feedback in the form of executive-level scorecards and enterprise-wide status reports are used to illustrate the progress made towards higher Data Maturity. Amentra's expertise in meeting the needs of organizations at any level of data maturity has allowed many of our clients, large and small, to successfully transition from disorganized data practices to integrated enterprise-level reporting and operational analysis.
