Michael Hurt - Chief Executive Officer
Michael Hurt is responsible for creating and managing Amentra's best-in-class customer service. One of Amentra's first employees, Hurt joined the company in August of 2000. He has been highly instrumental in developing Amentra's culture, leadership and service delivery offerings. He built Amentra's project solutions organization from the ground up, executing core process throughout the organization, developing vertical industry practices and formulating key client partnerships. Today, Hurt is responsible for the leadership of all Amentra services and related business. He previously served in various capacities for a subsidiary of Tyco International as a sr. manager in large scale business operations for commercial and government clients. Throughout his career, he has been known for his business vision and reputation as a solid leader and mentor for those on his team.
Jason Smith - Senior Vice President, Government Services
Jason Smith serves as a senior vice president of government services for Amentra and is located in Amentra's Tysons Corner, VA office. Smith joined Amentra in August of 2001 and brings more than 15 years of experience working with customers and partners to deliver world class business and technology solutions in both the private and public sectors. Smith currently leads Amentra's government practice focusing on the US Federal, state and local government and education marketplaces nationwide. He works directly with government customers and the system integrator ecosystem to develop partnerships and build program teams that are responsible for delivering enterprise middleware solutions to the government leveraging SOA, BPM, Portal, Enterprise Data and Open Source Solutions.
Steve Burris - Regional Vice President, Central United States
Steve Burris serves as a regional vice president for Amentra, responsible for consulting operations in the Central United States based out of Amentra’s Dallas office. Amentra’s central region extends from Ohio to Utah with primary facilities located in Chicago and Dallas, and clients spanning all reaches of the geography. Burris has more than 10 years of experience in the IT industry and has been with Amentra for more than 5 years. Prior to expanding Amentra’s operations to the Midwest, Burris oversaw multiple successful programs and client engagements in North Carolina and South Carolina based out of Amentra’s Charlotte office. He currently leads all facets of operations in the region including sales, consulting, and strategy definition. Prior to joining Amentra, Burris built and led software development organizations in multiple financial services companies and began his career with a Fortune 500 leader in the credit card industry.
Jason N. Evans - Regional Vice President, Northeast United States & Canada
Jason Evans serves as Amentra’s regional vice president covering consulting and sales operations for commercial and state, local and education (SLED) business within the US Northeast Region and all territories of Canada. Evans brings more than 12 years of industry experience built on a combination of work experience with Fortune 500, startup, and consulting organizations. He has a strong focus in the financial services and telecommunication verticals. In addition to his primary responsibilities, Evans also chairs Amentra’s Business Process Management service offering, serves as the organization’s primary liaison between the services organization and legal affairs, and oversees sales force automation operations.
Nick Hopman - Regional Vice President, Western United States
Nick Hopman serves as a regional vice president for Amentra, responsible for consulting operations in the Western United States based out of Amentra’s Mountain View office. Hopman has more than 10 years of experience in the IT industry servicing both private and public sectors. Prior to expanding Amentra’s operations to the West, he oversaw numerous strategic programs based out of Amentra’s Tysons Corner office. He currently leads all aspects of the Western operation, including sales and consulting, and has a growing base of Fortune 500 clients in the region. Prior to joining Amentra, Hopman conducted communications security research for the Naval Research Laboratory.
Chris Wood - Regional Vice President, Southeast United States
Chris Wood serves as a regional vice president for Amentra and is based out of Amentra’s Tysons Corner office. In his role, Wood focuses on commercial business in the Southeast, spanning the region from Delaware to Florida. He has been with Amentra for 9 years and brings more than 10 years of experience in commercial consulting and 12 years of experience in the IT industry, including leadership and operations for numerous programs and customers. Wood’s organization helps to drive value to its commercial customers through consistent delivery of industry leading solutions in all of Amentra’s major service areas, with specific expertise in middleware, service oriented architecture, and mentoring-based projects. In addition to his responsibilities within the consulting organization, Wood leads the company’s recruiting operations and partner strategy.
